Built in 1871, this opera house is about 20 miles north of Lexington and is said to be haunted. Some apparitions here include "A Lady in White," and Angry Man and two children who are said to run around and play.

  • Not seeing but hearing

    While working sound for a play at ROHS one night during practice I heard whistling and didn't think anything about it thought it may be someone under the balcony or in the seats. Thinking it was nothing i didn't mention it to anyone. The next night before a performance our director came up and started talking to the light guy and i about the ROHS ghosts as she talked she mentioned the whistler and how he is always seen in that top hallway or on the balcony. Also during a performance of the same play the sound guy and i both without talking would look back at the balcony door at the same time later finding out that we both thought someone was opening that door we both did this multiple times
