I am a Christian woman. I believe that demons pretend to be ghosts to fool and deceive people. I worked at the Campbell House once as a temp job for a day through Labor Works. I was doing housekeeping during the summer of 2014. I worked maybe 10 hours. Not a single weird thing happened to me. As someone who has dealt with supernatural due to others messing with stuff they had no business doing. Very beautiful hotel. But not haunted. Just a bunch of demons fooling people into thinking that it's haunted

I would come here once in a while working as an airline pilot because my company would put us at this hotel during our layovers. I had always heard it was haunted, but I never really experienced anything.
Unfortunately, one day I was there for a layover and something crazy happened to me. I was laying in bed when I felt that I wasn’t alone in my room. Suddenly, I experienced body paralysis. I wasn’t sleeping, yet I couldn’t move anything but my head. My head was nodding or turning to answer questions I was thinking in my head. It really freaked me out. I started praying in my head, and that’s when the body paralysis ended. I hope to not have to stay there again! Paranormal experiences aside, it is a beautiful hotel.

Me and my husband checked in on Saturday. The time that I am writing this is Thursday. We check out in two days. I’ve been sitting outside letting some steam go through a puff. The last two nights I felt eerie and immediately went back inside. I went back inside my room and googled deaths in cambell house and came across the two poor women killed here and the stories of the hotel being haunted. I am so shocked because I was hearing so many things behind our double doors in our suite. Loud footsteps that made me and my husband stop one night and look up at the door that goes into our living room. The noise is coming from inside our suite in the living room. Several times have we heard noises in the outside room. I’m shocked bc it makes sense why the steps were so loud and it sounded like someone was in the room with us.

We stayed there last night & I hadn’t read anything about the hotel being haunted prior to our visit. We checked in at 11pm and almost immediately there was a soft (but clear) knock, knock, knock on the door. My husband immediately opened the door & no one was there. He then looked down the connecting halls and there was no one. The hallways are long and I honestly don’t think anyone could have entered a room nearby without him seeing or hearing the door shut.

Upon looking at eerie reviews online, myself and others accompanying me already felt a sense of uneasiness at arrival. All seemed to be as normal until we awoke right around 12:30 in the morning to banging and screaming coming from the room beside ours. After just around half an hour of trying to fall back asleep, I heard something else coming from outside our door. A faint voice from behind the door saying “get out” over and over. Until it seemed to fade away. As if we weren’t freaked out enough we later saw a frail woman at the front desk that morning. She was wearing an aged yellow trench coat, yelling at the front desk clerk claiming she lived in our room. Even claiming she knew my Mom, calling her by her full name. Something is definitely not right about that place, will never be going back.

I am on a team trip and we are staying in the cambell house. One of my teammates rooms is across the hallway from ours, and there was a lady in a yellow trenchcoat staring into their door. She was later spotted at the front desk claiming she lived in that room. She was saying she left her stuff in there, and she also knew the name of the person whose room it was.

I did not experience any haunting experiences. Although it was strange that our room was in the very back not next to anyone else staying there. Long hallways and repetitive creepy feelings. Knowing the haunted stories when staying there, it took me a while to fall asleep. I had heard that a woman had died there. There had been reports of ice machines turning on and kids running down the hall calling each other. And scariest of all, a man in “butler clothes” or dark black clothes wandering around the hotel. I don’t recall any haunting experiences, but I can just envision waking up seeing that tall dark man staring down at me. Definitly a haunted hotel for sure.

We stayed there in 2009. Doors slamming at 3:30 am for 20 minutes. No one staying on our hall. Ice maker kicking out ice but no one there. Shadow going by our door. It's scary but we hope to go back one day.

I don't logically believe in ghosts but when I was a flight attendant, our airline would put us up here. Place is beautiful, staff is accommodating. However, even though I don't logically believe in ghosts. Somewhere I have a "What If' in me that makes me scared if I am by myself and obviously airlines give us our own rooms. I didn't see or hear anything all the times I was there BUT this is the only place I have had sleep paralysis in my life and it was that scary kind. I heard a low voice laughing at me and pulling the covers over me but I knew I was "asleep" or in paralysis. Then I woke up at 5am for my returning flight lol

I was never a believer in haunted places but I did experience a few things and know some history of the building.
Kilbern, a previous owner, is the tall man you see walking the halls. You never get a good look at him, just appears out the corner of your eye and tends to walk around corners when you see him. After the renovation back in 2014, I’d see him walk across the catwalk over the lobby or towards the North side of the building. Usually at night. Tall man, dressed in black with a hat.
Never seen a woman but she did whisper “help me” when I was working on a few things in the basement one afternoon. Sounded like she was behind me but nothing was there. Creeped me out but I’d known the place was haunted so I brushed it off. The basement in the early years of the hotel had locker rooms and showers. Also known as a place to take escorts.
3rd floor was always a bit spooky. Never saw anything but the air was thick and a sense of unease always overcame me in a certain wing.
I spent many nights here and never experienced slamming doors, child noises or moving objects. Other staff have their stories. If you get a chance to speak with a tenured staff member, ask about the old children’s suite prior to the 2014 renovation, creepy room that was never touched or rented for many, many years.
