Waverly Hills Sanatorium
Louisville, KY 40272
This historic hospital first opened its doors in 1910 to treat tuberculosis patients. It has seen over 60,000 deaths within its walls and is believed to be haunted by some of those who died there. A number of television shows have explored the site, including Ghost Adventures, Fact or Faked and Ghost Hunters. Witnesses have reported anything from unexplained lights to shadowy forms and apparitions at the hospital. For those brave enough, the site offers ghost hunts, investigations and even overnights for those who are interested in taking a look around for themselves.

I was in here for a tour in August. The tour guide took us through the building and we went to the operating room. The tour guide started to talk, a minute later I have a pain through my chest and it felt like I was being cut open. I saw a woman near the windows, they were open, and air was flowing through. The breeze was warm, and I could see the doctor above me, and a male nurse beside him. What felt like hours was only a few minutes in real time. I couldn’t hear the people around me, or my boyfriend or a younger male asking me if I was ok. I went into the side room where they cleaned the tools.. It smelled like fresh blood

Took a night tour during the great quarantine of 2020. Got some pretty compelling pictures, cold spots, and impossible sounds (I.e. gravel scraping from foot steps when I was the only one in the area.) I can’t wait to go back!
