Reed Valley Orchard is a seasonal orchard and opens mid June. Come visit us in our serene, peaceful setting; pick some fresh apples or berries; or walk down our nature trail that is nestled between a rippling creek and swaying cedars.
In the brisk fall we celebrate our harvest with Country Harvest Trail Days, each Saturday in October. Come pick your own fruit and enjoy the guest musicians.
Country Harvest Trail Days:
Come and enjoy a day in the country, pick your own apples, pumpkins and pears (including Asian pears). Local musicians are a delight to listen to while you sip a fresh fruit slushie, indulge in ice cream made from our fruits and berries or try our homemade oven fried pies.
Lots of fun can be found during your country visit. Come on down to the valley and enjoy the fruits of life at Reed Valley Orchard!
Nature Trail:
Let nature entertain you with a walk along a scenic wooded creek area. Explore the nature walk along a trail once used by buggies and stagecoaches. Search for the beautiful indigo bunting, vivid yellow gold finch, native red cardinal, the cardinal is Kentucky's state bird, or look for the bluebirds that are often seen along the nature walk. You may even be able to catch a glimpse of the large blue heron fishing the creek, if you are quiet.
You can walk on through the woods, see old rock fences and find the indentations still apparent from the heavy use of long ago stagecoaches and buggies. There is only a small area of this left to see as the area is growing up now. The walking trail is free of charge. So come check it out for yourself.
Hours of Operation: Fridays and Saturdays: 10 AM - 5 PM
